Route 44 - Interior SD to Rapid City SD
Just wondering if anyone has used this route from the Badlands to the Black Hills area while towing a trailer rather than going back to route 90. Thanks!

I don't know about now,but 30 years ago, when we lived there, there was a lot of truck traffic on it to and from the sand pits. The roads was heavily grooved where the trucks sunk into the hot asphalt. This made it hard to drive on with a narrower tracked vehicle. Also those big trucks were always in a big hurry. JME.
