Route 66 Still Kicks

I just started a really good travel book called "Route 66 Still Kicks," by Rick Antonson. It was published on a smaller press and I just thought I'd give it a plug here--seems perfect for all of the road warriors on this forum. For the cynics--don't know the guy at all.

Anyone have any other travel related book recommendations to help get me geared up for spring/summer?

    Just found this forum! Am an avid route 66er with my 1943 International military truck.
    Just finished the Fun Run from Selegman Az to Topock an easy run of about 143 miles in two days!

    It's not a book but I would suggest you do a Google search for `______ tourism' and insert the States you are interested in. You'll get lots of reading material although no bound books.
