Route 77 in. texas

Considering coming from Cleburne tx to Victoria Tx via 35 to Waco and then 77 from Waco to Victoria. Will be driving a 32' gas MH with Toad. Any thoughts on the route as far the road and traffic? Thanks for the help

I think you have made a very wise decision. My experience has led me to prefer to drive through Dallas or Houston rather than through Austin. We have used portions of US 77 many times.

  • Driven it several times. Nice road. We usually stop at the Colorado Landing RV in La Grange as our halfway point between the Dallas area and Rockport/ Aransas Pass.
  • 77 is one of the main N/S routes. While we don't use the entire route you're planning, we drive from La Grange south down to Alt77 every year. That section is a good wide 2-lane road with wide shoulders & numerous passing lanes.
IMO, You won't have any problems
