We're staying at Ponchatrain Landing RV park which appears to be right at the end of 90 if we were to take that the entire way. I realize that's not the greatest neighborhood as we've stayed there before.
I'd still bail on 90 at Waveland - you're still missing New Orleans East even where you're staying.
consider it... we don't get to travel much, when we do love taking off interstate roads whenever possible - WardsterExplorer

I would jump on I-10 after Waveland and take it the rest of the way into New Orleans. The pavement from there to Slidel on 90 isn't all that good and you avoid New Orleans East too.

I am not fond of 90 inside the city when driving the Jeep Patriot. No way would I take the truck and trailer through there.
My main concern/issue is going west past 607 as we've never gone that way. We're in no rush so traffic is not an issue, just wondering on roads and such. - ljrNomadI just drove I-10 to Gulfport on 90. A little traffic going through Waveland and near Gulfport but no real problems. The road is mostly 4-lane with cross streets.

- Dannyabear1ExplorerI have driven that route plenty times, you should not have any problems on 90 and then get on I-10 on the outskirts of N.O. I wouldn't want to pull my camper west of that interchange, the road is not that great and gets narrower

I have not done the portion west of 607 but looking at google maps it looks fine to take, should be good 2 lane road. The portion east of 607 was fine so Biloxi to Bay St. Louis is fine. I pulled my 30 footer with no problems. The traffic in New Orleans is a whole other issue. Be prepared. Old city with tight roads if you are not on interstate or US highways.
West of 607 is exactly what i was wondering about. We've made the trip once before but took I-10 at 607. I'd like to follow 90 all the way this time.
