route 95 south from needles calif

can any one tell me the road condition of hwy 95 from needles calif to Parker Az. last time I was on it two years ago the road was full of pot holes and if they have fixed it I will take the road. other wise I guess I will go to Lake Havasu and down to Yuma. we have had some health issues and are really late this year but we still want to take in the area for a few weeks.

  • Drove it for the first time last year and will be taking it again this year. It's desolate and we didn't see many other vehicles, just a few trucks headed south. The only problem we encountered was wind. Crosswinds became tricky on a couple of stretches.
  • Drove it today..it's very serpentine (up and down not left to right). Pavement in good shape but few good places to pass, lots of double yellow lines. All in all no problem

  • Drove it in Dec and it was fine. The shoulder is almost none existent, most of the way, if you have a flat or need to stop. My preferred route between I10 and I40
  • Just be careful of all the cars speeding and texting not to mention speeding and drinking. Speed limit is 65 but cars go about 90 down that stretch and pass on double line , single line, dotted line. Bunch of crazies !!
  • If I'm leaving Bullhead City at about daylight, I'll take that road. Anything later, I go the Arizona side. Allot of work has been done, but still some bad stretches.
  • I was on it a month or so ago, they have done some asphalt work but those pot holes show up whenever they want to especially with the heavy truck traffic.
  • It's never been one of my favorite roads because of the truckers.
