Route A-24 in New Mexico to Sugarite Canyon State Park

Google Maps shows to turn off US 87 W. onto State A-24. Seems to be a distance of 1.7 miles and looks like gravel surface. Towing a 34' fifth-wheel. We are very familiar with Raton and Raton Pass but ...

Thanks, Heisenberg, that confirms what I was thinking.

We usually stay at Raton Pass RV (formerly Cedar Rail), and have done so many times, but always thought about Sugarite. This trip is the time. We have reservations--just for an overnight, we are on the way to Banff, Canada.

May be our last long trip as I will be 85 in October. Let's just say, "we're HOPING to be on the way to Banff in July!"
