Route advice From I-81 S, east to Concord (Charlotte) NC

If Spring ever comes to upstate NY we plan to head South to Concord, NC, middle of May. First leg is south down I-81 then East to Concord NC. Looking for advice on route east from I-81 to Conc...

I assume your Mountaire has a Jake or engine brake. Coming down into NC from VA on I-77 is a long downhill run and you will need the brake to slow you down. It shouldn't be a problem, just giving you a heads up.
