Hwy 2 is also known as the Deerfoot in city limits, if you avoid it during rush hours morning and night (albeit since the oil collapse it takes us a quarter of the time it used to during rush hours!) to get through. By choice I always use the Deerfoot Hwy 2, heading North and South. Even done it with 37ft A Class towing a horse box when huge construction on. Three Lanes plus, but can be stationary on occasion during rush hours. 10.30am to 2pm is a breeze, as is 10pm to 6.30am, 2.30pm on Fridays she starts to build up during nicer weather as locals take off early for weekend.
