Route around Jacksonville, FL.
Heard somewhere that a bridge around Jacksonville had been hit by ship or barge. Anyone know about this and where is it at ??? Thanks.

The Matthews Bridge was hit by a Navy ship under tow about 10 days back. This bridge connects downtown Jacksonville to the Arlington area. This closure will be more of a local problem and will result in increased detour traffic during rush hours for those needing to be downtown. I 95 as well as I 295 are not served by this bridge.Closure of the Matthews bridge is expected to last less than 60 days.
