route around oil field congestion
Staying in Medora, ND, would like to go west on 90 and take secondary roads up to Rt 2 in Montana, any suggestions? Pulling 27 ft TT

Take your pick of the routes. Any oversized oil equipment will have at least one pilot car in front. Be prepared to slow down stop if necessary or to pull over as far as safety will allow in the event you come up on one.
Try to pass them on straight sections of road if possible. Pilot cars will let you know when you need to stop.
Many travel at night. Super size always travel at night or at least around here.
