route around oil field congestion
Staying in Medora, ND, would like to go west on 90 and take secondary roads up to Rt 2 in Montana, any suggestions? Pulling 27 ft TT

Stay on I94 till Montana, and then head north.
US85 in western ND will put you into the heart of the congestion. Glendive MT to Wolf Pt or Glasgow should bypass most of it. You could even stay on 200 to Great Falls.
One time I stayed on I94/90 to Billings, and then took state highways NW to Great Falls.
