Having driven through ND and MT recently, it seemed almost every road that connected to another state, or at least a larger city had oil field traffic on it.
Tandem tankers doing 10-15 mph over on twisty winding US-2 through Glacier was very exciting.
US-87 through MT had a lot of farming traffic and construction with pace cars, but not much oil field stuff.
US-212 through MT into SD had a mix of farming, oil and camping traffic... US-212 seems setup for speed traps, but I didn't see any of that going on (speed limit would change from 70mph to 30mph without warning)
