Your route will be slower than if you just cut over to 77 on the turn pike. My brother lives outside Raleigh NC and we did this route in around 12 hrs. to Raleigh from the Flint area. We have done your intended route when we have had more time to take. You are in for long driving days so plan accordingly. I would cover as much ground as I could stand the first day. I use the RVPARKY app to find parks on my route. Check it out.
