Route from Eureka CA to Susanville CA
For those that have traveled these routes before, which is the better of the two routes for towing: 299 or 36 from Eureka California to Susanville California

We are going that route next winter but because it's going to be winter and because we are going a bit south, we have decided to take Hwy 20 across. It would probably be way out of your way though.
