- pauljExplorer IIUS2, MT/ID 200, I90 are all fine choices.
- IslandmanExplorerThink I'd take US 2 westward to Bonners Ferry ID, then south to Sandpoint ID; then use US 95 south to Coeur d'Alene. An option is to travel US 2 to just a little west of Libby MT, then take the highway south to MT 200 and then west to Sandpoint where you will join up with US 95 and take it south to Coeur d'Alene. Either route is fine, might be a little less traffic on the second option; good camping on either route, mostly USFS CG's.
- Bruce_and_SueExplorerThink I'd take 93 out of Kalispell to MT 28 to MT 135 and pick up I-90 at St. Regis. That'll allow you to miss the mess from Sandpoint to Coeur d'Alene.
- bobsallyhExplorer IIYou can also take US 2 out of Kalispell to MT 56 just west of Libby, take MT 56 to Rt 200 along the Clark Fork River and Lake Pend Oreille and come out on US 95 just south of the business cluster in Sandpoint. Beautiful ride, no problem with big rig.
- bobsallyhExplorer IIRt 56 also takes you past the Montana Tall Cedars. Nice area.
- ArcticDodgeExplorerHighway 2 is a great route. Scenic and easy.
- dons2346ExplorerJust did this today. Out of Columbia Falls took 206 to 35 to 135 to 90 to CDL. Easy drive, no real hills to speak of, nice scenery around Flathead Lake.
