I have been route planning in more detail and I am starting to question Texas and southern Cali, may alter route and go north sooner and end up in central california. Route planning gets more difficult when you really get to the fine details, which I have not even really got to yet! Going to be a lot of work and worth every minute I think!
Thanks for the input everyone, lots to see and it is so hard to know what to see!
Plenty there for the kids, Fiesta Texas, Sea World, the Alamo, Mission Trail, museums, River Walk, River Center, Market Square, more museums.
There is a KOA east of town and a RV park to the SW. I can't recall the name of it but it is popular with RV'ers passing through. Several SPs in the area within easy driving distance. We usually stay in the San Marcos area and drive into SA.
SA is rich in Texas history. Stay a week in SA to get the feel of Texas and understand our history.
