Just got my wife an iPad mini for the trip and we need to figure out what tools we are going to use to navigate. Planning to get an RV GPS.
We had wanted to do trial runs before leaving but by the time we got the trailer and figured out some issues, we only managed a couple of weekends before the weather got too cold. So we will be jumping in with both feet so to speak. We leave in March so trial runs won't be an option then either as march in Ontario is not really RV season.
The truck pulls fine, but we will have to be carefull in the hills. It is a 4.7, 310hp. We are packing light and are prepared to ditch stuff along the way if we have to. Even if it means shipping stuff home, giving it away or throwing it out. Bikes, hiking gear, masks and snorkels and a few changes of clothes and that is about it, oh and some basic tools to address any issues that may arise with th TT.
We are considering this a lifestyle change as well as a trip, so we hope to simplify life drastically in the process.
