Route south
Does anybody have route suggestions from north central Mass. To Richmond Virginia. I would like to avoid Connecticut 84 and the horrible Treck across the tapanzee bridge followed by the NJ tpk and Ga...

I drove my van up 33 and 209 in early May. Very slow thru the Stroudsburg area and first part of the Gap Park. The weather was nice so the weekend visitors were out early. Usually early spring and late fall it isn't conjested. Looked like a lot of new commercial construction since I last used that route. After the Dingman Falls turn off there was almost no traffic. Ran on up to Albany area and then east on 7 and 9 to Manchester. Nice drive if you aren't in a hurry.
I use it to get away from the construction....had it on 84 from exit 1 into Pa and then like I said on 87 south by the rest area.....plus after awhile the traffic on 287 gets old..need a break
