Routes through the Adirondacks/NY for fall foliage

I'm looking for good routes through NY and the Adirondacks to see the fall foliage. We have a 35 foot Class A Diesel and are towing a jeep. Any ideas, suggestions that would help us to avoid those l...

Old Forge is great. I was there last week. There are no roads that would interfere with your travels. Rte. 12 through Rte. 28. Rte. 28 will take you all through the Adirondacks. keep in mind that most of the State Parks will be closed. Old Forge Camping Resort can accommodate you and is a great place to stay. Love the Adirondacks.

Rte. 87, the Northway from Albany through Lake George is beautiful also. You can actually go through Lake George which would get you to many places in the Adirondacks.
