Routing/Overnight and travel time ideas Laredo to Maz

Or even other options. We had thought of Santa Teresa via Durango, stopping in Chihuahua and Bermmejillo. We have stopped in both those places but that was years ago, not sure if those are still op...

We get off at the toll booth at Leon Guzman (Lerdo). There is a strip mall there with a gas station as well as a few other businesses. We stayed there coming and going from Durango to Mazatlan. Good lighting, safe, small military post next to the caseta and in clear view of the strip mall. We switched to the libre until the Puente Baluarte because it was in better condition than the autopista.
