- dblrExplorerLums Pond State Park in Bear De. just off of Rt.896, get off the last exit on 95 I believe 1-A at the 8th light turn left, Rt. 71 campground about a mile or two down on left, all full hook ups but also all back in sites.
Farther down in Middletown on the southbound side there is a Walmart if you like useing them, have seen campers in there for the night a lot of times. - jplante4Explorer IIIf you want to stop earlier, the South Philly KOA (formerly Timberlane) in Clarksboro NJ is open all year. The overnight spots are all in front and pull throughs. It's about 15 minutes from the Delaware Mem. Bridge.
- VeebyesExplorer IIStayed at Lums Pond many times. A little pricey now since the upgrades but nice & quiet as long as the military is not flying helicopters nearby. Next down the line, if you are thinking of using the CBBT to Virginia Beah, is Killens Pond SP S of Dover. Another nice one used many times.
We will be at Killens Wed to Sun next week getting ready for our 4 month Alaska trip. - MR_MACExplorerThanks, not in a hurry, maybe
timberlane, as pulling car on dolly wont need to unhook. - jerryjay11ExplorerIf you are planning to boondock for one night this may help: Rest area in Smyrna, DE RT 1 exit 119.
If planning to travel 301 further there is a rest area with truck parking on a newly paved lot adjacent to it. The main rest area is closed at night, but the truck parking is 24/7. This is just 15 miles before 301 merges with 50.
