You could always get an RV friendly GPS.
Ours has campgrounds programmed into the maps. Just select campground in the vicinity and it shows you your options as well as the Woodall/Good Sam ratings for each as well as services available.
With that there is no need to adhere to a tight schedule. Drive until you want to stop. When you want to stop for the night you simply let the GPS find the nearest campground with the services you want. The GPS will give you the campground phone number so you can even call first and make sure they have room!
You input your RV vital statistics when you set it up and it keeps you away from low overpasses, weight restricted bridges, city centers etc. Simple, trouble free and lets you be flexible.
Is it perfect? No, but it will always get you where you want to go.
I wouldn't travel in our MH without it.
