- travelbayshore1ExplorerOn our return from our trip "out west" last summer, we stopped at the Big Oaks RV Park. Easy on/off of I-20. It's about 1 hour west of Atlanta. This is a small, neat little campground. Staff is very friendly. Cash only (when we were there). We have stayed here twice on our return through that area.

Located in Heflin, Al about 70 miles west of ATL,before Anniston, AL. Under new ownership and reviews have improved as the new owners seem to be in "fix up mode". Very close to I-20. - jaycocamprsExplorerJohn Tanner Park, out just before the AL line. Used to be a State Park, but the state gave it to Carroll County some years back. There is also Chattahoochee Bend state Park, but it is not easy to get to.
- RoyBExplorer IITry using GOOGLE search for ATLANTA GA
Then select the GOOGLE MAP for ATLANTA on the right side
Once the map comes up select RV CAMPGROUNDS in the search form to the left.
I see several large Rv CAMPGROUNDs between Atlanta and Birmingham...
You can mouse click the campgrounds for additional information.
You can also switch to the SATELLITE VIEW and zoom down on the various RV CAMPGROUNDs to get a pretty good idea how the might be...
We use this all the time when driving across the country...

- Second_ChanceExplorer IIThe only thing we've found is on into Alabama: Country Court RV Park, Anniston, AL. Atlanta itself is rather barren when it comes to RV parks.
