Thanks fla-gypsy!
We are looking for a RV park on the keys, which is near (reachable shortly on foot) a nice sand beach and a village or city, where we can entertain (stroll and eat) in the evening!
To experience the keys at it's best as far as RV resorts go, you should book at Bluewater Key RV resort. If you prefer the more natural setting I would recommend Long Key State park which has campsites directly on the water with beautiful vistas but there is no development in the area for close by dining. Sandy beaches in the keys are few and far between and can be downright rare in some areas. The lack of transportation at the campsite will present challenges in a lot of areas. If you decide to travel further north up the peninsula I have some other ideas for places you really need to see.
