The Bluewater Key RV resort is directly near a sandy beach and a village? Or you can recommend other RV resorts which meet this criteria?
Bluewater Key is nice because they have their own boat docks and many spots are directly on the water. BUT- there is no beach and you cannot walk to the town. We stayed there and loved it, but you are 15 miles from town. Key West really isn't known for sandy beaches.
As for the rest of Florida. We spent 5 weeks in the Orlando area in 2014 and plan to do the same in 2015. We enjoy it- yes it's hot and humid. We also enjoy the theme parks regardless of the heat.
You'll need to figure Miami to Key West is about 4 hours of driving. Key West to Orlando is a good 8 hours of driving.
