RV's are a special case.
RIV will tell you what VEHICLES are admissible to Canada.
However, propane and electrical systems are covered by Provincial law that the Fed's don't concern themselves with. Even when you license the vehicle with the various Provincial Transportation folks all they are concerned with is again, the vehicle portion.
There is no mechanism to check compliance with vita life safety regulations.
Several Provinces do have laws making it illegal to own, rent or sell a non-compliant RV, but it seems that enforcement is only upon compliant, there is no pro-active enforcement.
