Safe Stop between El Paso and Las Cruces, New Mexico

Ok,y'all, I will be traveling between NE Texas and Scottsdale in a couple of weeks for a horse show. I have been told to try to get past El Paso the first day. Is there a good place to dry dock some...

there is a very nice NM visitor center rest stop just past the exit one. we stay at the Flying J on exit one or use the rest stop if the truck stop rv sites are full.
