Salina, KS to Liberal, KS on #156

I've driven the route several times. Good roads, a lot to see, but you keep seeing it over and over again. I pushed it last time and got a speeding ticket.

I drove a semi from Liberal to I 70 and on to the east coast and back for over 20 years and that's the way I always went. Good road with little traffic. There are other ways but that's the best one I ever found.

We drove this route today and I agree with the two posters. I'm glad we went this way, got to see some of the back country and small towns. I would go this way again.

I have used this road from Salina to Great Bend and the roadway is good, just slow down through towns.

We have driven 156 on our way to or from NM. The last time was three years ago. At that time the road was in good condition. There are slow downs to pass through some towns but not a big problem.
