Coming from the west, do I take 80 to 15S and pick up 80 again as the most efficient route? Hours between 10 and 2 pm good times as in other larger cities? thanks alot!

Nothing more terrifying than watching a semi driving 75 in the far L lane just as traffic begins to slow. There is no place to go,nothing to do but pray! I told DH that I would gladly go a few hundred miles out of the way just to avoid that mayhem.
I hate driving through SLC at anytime of day. I am convinced that the highway dept built a divided highway there with two lanes each way and a small shoulder. THEN they added 4 more lanes in the same space. There is no shoulder in many places and if a vehicle is disabled there is no place to go.
The last time we went through there a semi truck passed on the left and the only reason our mirrors did not touch was he was taller.
My wife cried the whole way.
Pick a lane drive straight and hang on.
