San Antonio, TX to Yellowstone/Mount Rushmore
I've noticed some posters love to plan to trips. Next summer, we are planning on a trip with our three kids (at that time 15-daughter, 12-son, 10-son) to Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore and any places...

You'll need at least 4-5 days here. If you stay at the Fishing Bridge (only place in park with hook-ups), you will be centrally located to take day drives to each section of the park. The campground is tight but sufficient because you'll be driving the roads and sightseeing from daylight til dark every day you're there!
Make sure you don't miss this little Gem Boiling Springs
Next 100miles
Next 400-500 miles: Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Badlands, Black Hills.
This would be a Great Trip....I'm jealous. Enjoy whatever you do!!

Would suggest from Yellowstone to Mount Rushmore Area Little Big Horn Devils Tower
We stayed at Whistlers Gulch in Deadwood when we did Mount Rushmore and the kids will love that this is right next to it. Our boy spent the day there while we went off to explore Deadwood. Can not stress enough stop and see Mammoth Site It alone is worth the trip.
