Definitely go up the West side of Michigan for the best views of Lake Michigan. Our shore is sand dunes most of the way and easy to get to most places. Sleeping Bear Dunes is a great visit. Holland has Dutch Heritage and a State Park with full hookups, Grand Haven is Coast Guard City, Muskegon, and all the way up. Campgrounds are all along the way. At Mackinac City or St. Ignace you can take a ferry to Mackinac Island. Antlers restaurant is the one in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. and the Aunie Osburn CG is just down the road. Take a ride through the Soo Locks and see and learn about Great Lakes Shipping. In Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario you should ride the Agawa Canyon train. You will go up where there are no roads and then back. It is a great, all day ride. They do stop, for people who have cabins along the way, to drop off or pick up. If you go East Sudbury has Science North and the largest nickel. Have a great time.
