Well, IMHO the only two points of interest would be Mt Rainer and Mt St Helens. Mt St Helens can be a long day drive around. Mt Rainer? Not sure,,never visited it. Seattle traffic is probsbly the worst traffic you can encounter almost all day. Mostly 6 freeway lanes packed with cars all in a hurry. And you will definitely be in it to get from I5 to I90. Personally I think you would be wiser to take 395 north, and if you want to visit the two mountains, enter from the east side, do the visits and exit the same way. Staying over on the east side can be way more pleasant. And for sure easier on your nerves. If you really want to visit Seattle area for the food, then I suggest you stay around Mt St Helens enterence near I5 and starting early in the morning drive into Seattle, park down below Pikes Place market, spend the day exploring and get out of dodge no later than 3.
