Should I use I-40 or I-20 AZ to northern GA?

I think the bad press on 40 is more weather-related this time of year than about the road itself. Three years ago I drove from Holbrook AZ {we left from Tucson} to Asheville NC on I-40 in 5 days and found it to be an excellent road I would be happy to drive again that went straight to where we were bound, but... We left on May first and other than dodging a few major thunderstorms and a couple of tornados weather was not an issue. :E
You can make pretty good time on 40 but I kept the 24 Class C at 63 - 65 and enjoyed a very pleasant trip. Ended up in Maine for Memorial day and by the time we got home, we had done 22 states and 7,800 miles. Great trip!
