Funny how people interpret things so differently. OP has a point and others seem to want to be sarcastic that he isn't getting his way?!
If you are driving on SOME roads, weighing 22,000 pounds, going the SPEED limit, there ARE signals that are NOT long enough for all the vehicles legally allowed on THAT road to stop!!
What is the problem with his issue? Jeepers, creepers.
That is why we do not take 'some of' the more scenic routes. Our weight makes us slow down before intersections so that we Can stop on time. Of course as we get closer to our destination, we are on these roads.
The suggestion to 'why not find another route?' As in sarcasm, doesn't work if your destination is off one of these roads.
