Smoky mountain fire
US 441 is closed due to a fire that started today in the area. G'burg is enveloped in smoke and ash is falling all over in town.

One of our most favorite places to go to... Been camping inside the Natl Park at ELKMONT for many years past - back to the 60s... Gatlinburg certainly sits in a hollow with mountains all around it...
Have stated many times all of our RV Camping roads always go through Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mtns...
