Has anyone actually RV-ed in S. America seeing as this sub-forum has S. America in the subject? Would you rent an RV there, or somehow ship one there? My bucket list has a visit there, but not very...

I made the trip to Panama, could not afford the passage for my 1968 VW bus so I headed back to the U.S.A. My friend comes from Argentina and the last time he went to visit with his wife, his brother lent him his RV, they had a wonderful time, if you do go take a trip to a small city in the Andes, it is Barriloche, you will fall in love with it, Buenos Aires is a fascinating City.
If you get a chance to go to the Iguazu falls, they are bigger than Niagara in the northern corner of Argentina and Brazil.
Do not pay attention to some of the negative comments, they are normally from persons that do not travel outside of their comfort zone, and do not really know all they have is what they read from newspapers or see in the television.
Flash news, bear attacked hiker is in hospital with severe wounds, he is lucky to be alive paper and TV news comment.
And they do not mention that he startled a mama bear with cubs feeding on one side of the trail and the cubs where on the other side.
