I did the trip last year in a truck camper and made it fine- but absolutely carried a spare. All that said I would and will not drive the Alaska Highway without a spare. In suspect you have a very good shot at making it safely with 1 yr old Michelins-- but one never knows and the Alaska Highway is much more intense than anything we experience in the south
We are headed up to Anchorage on the Alaska Highway from west GA again the first week of July and I am carrying a mounted spare for the moho, a mounted spare for the tow dolly, and a donut for the toad.
While I will do my best to attempt to use ERS, I just don't want to be caught a long way from communication capabilities, any help, support or tire resources and not be prepared. The condition of the road and distance between services and resources does warrant the extra measure of preparedness.
