Spare tire for Alaska trip ?

No, you're very unlikely to have a tire problem.

Could happen in which case you'll have some down time. Most of us can't change the tires anyway due to their size, weight, etc. And I sure don't want to use storage space for one of those big tires.

The Alaska trip is about driving for the road conditions which generally means slower. Met a guy that blew over a railroad track - 2 tires easy fix but he was in day 19 repairing the bent 5er hitch.
