Ditto that. Especially since it travels from a single instance to a general "us"-vs.-"them"-it-happens-all-the-time-rant. That "special treatment" thing is especially telling.
A simple "Isn't this against the rules?"-type inquiry would have resolved the situation described. It MIGHT even be that this particular group had made prior arrangements.
Things aren't always what they seem...unless one wants them to be.
