Stuart Florida to Binghamton NY

Best Route to Binghamton NY from Stuart Florida so far I know that I go left at Washington should I go directly to I81 or follow my GPS to Harrisburg and get on there any suggestions?

Thanks for any response and drive safe:)
  • The least amount of time spent on I95 the better. Take 95 to 26 then 77 to 81. You will have a much more scenic and calming drive. Plenty of places to overnight.

X2... We pass right by Binghamton on our way to and from Florida from our Adirondack cottage. One of our favorite overnight stops is Ft Chiswell RV Park at the junction of 77 and 81. Easy on and off and a nice easy in and out full hookup park.

  • I-95 to I-26 to I-77 to I-81 is a perfectly fine route, and would be what I would use by default.

For the sake of variety, I've also done I-75 to I-40 to I-81. That's a little longer, from Stuart about a couple hundred miles more (it's less of a difference from the Gulf Coast where I more frequently have gone), and you do have to deal with Atlanta. If you want to stop at the Gatlinburg/Pigeon forge area, then it's a great option.

If you have all the time in the world, going up the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive is a beautiful but slow option.
