We live just outside (west) of Wenatchee. The weather today is upper 80's, mid 90's and sunny. No smoke today as the wind yesterday scoured out the smoke.
There are no fires west of Wenatchee at this time, so Lake Wenatchee would be a good choice. Confluence State Park in Wenatchee is also open for business.
Getting south on 97 will be a challenge, and I understand the 20 was closed this morning due to a fire on the west side.
There are several dozen fires burning north of Lake Chelan, including the Omak, Concunelly and Riverside areas. Too many fires to list.
More fires north and west of Spokane too.
Come south on I-5, then east over Stevens Pass to Lake Wenatchee.
