We have just over 4 weeks to spend on the road, so I'm looking at something like this:
2 days driving from Southern California to Grand Tetons, probably stopping in Provo, UT
2 days in Grand Tetons
1 day driving from Grand Tetons to West Yellowstone
4 days in Yellowstone
1 day driving to Glacier NP
3 days in Glacier NP
1 day driving to Banff
2 days in Banff
2 days driving to the Oregon Coast
2 days in Cannon Beach
1 day driving to Newport, OR (short drive, several stops along the way)
2 days in Newport
1 day driving to Winchester Bay / Reedsport, OR (short drive, any stops along the way?)
2 days in Winchester Bay
1 day driving to either Crescent City or Crater Lake
2 days in Crescent City or Crater Lake
1 day driving to either Mendocino or Lassen Volcanic NP
2 days in Mendocino or Lassen
1 day driving home
Granted that's 12 driving days out of 33, but we've done that before.
