I have seen those. OK if you have a larger RV but if its a Class B or Truck Camper, the surge guard is probably the best bet. Mine even saved my form a mis wired pedestal in the US once. I have also heard of people accidentally plugging into 220V. I heard it happened at Cadillac Ranch (owner now deceased) in Barra, a couple of years back and the guy blew out all his electronics. A surge guard would save you from that.
