Surge protector on sale for south of border travelers

I have one of these and it does not work 99% of the time in Mexico. The reason being that the voltage in Mexico is high and this shuts the device down. Also most of the places are in reverse polarity, so I found that it was a waste of money when traveling in Mexico. There is a device that holds the 120 but you still have reverse polarity. Just my 2 cents.
