Have a general question about Auto Transformer & Surge Protector. What size did you purchase? We have never used one and guess we have been lucky in Mexico. Our rig is 50 amp but most of the time, nearly 100%, where we camp in Mexico we are lucky to have 15 amps. Can you use an adapter plug from 30 amp into a 50 amp unit and have have it work. If I used a 30 amp unit I could plug the unit directly into the post and use a 30 to 50 adapter coming out of the unit and have both sides of my 50 amp service in the rig work. Will this be true if I use a 30 to 50 amp adapter from post to a 50 amp unit and then plug my rig in directly to the unit? OR will only one side of my service in the rig work? We have been one of those who switch the frig over to gas when we cross border and only used fans. Still concern for the converter! If we need more POWER we started the gen.
