Appreciate the information on the device. 240V appliances in a RV are rare but I do recall one poster installed a 240V WD. However, a number of rigs have a load shedding device that will default to 30A if it doesn't detect 240V. This device is intended to shed high amp devices when connected to 20 or 30A to keep CB's from tripping. Generally there is no manual override for the shedding.
I don't know anything about this. In Mexico the first thing we try to do is find out where the breakers are so if we trip one we can go reset ourselves as there are probably times when no one is around to do it. We just have to be very careful what we use and when we use it. Lots of adjustments to be made in Mexico. All our lights have now been converted to LED to keep that draw down. Lower inverter/charger draw when we need the AC to operate. No hairdryer unless everything else is off. Nothing else on when using things like toaster, coffee maker, microwave. Mexico travelers need to learn how to function on Mexican electricity and forget about some luxuries we have in the US. Sometimes we have to run our generator as we do not have solar panels.
