A majority of stuff gets lost in overstuffed bins anyway. Bringing five pounds of flour. Ten jars of Best Foods mayo. And enough pancake mix to feed a village of three hundred boggles the imagination. Pare it down. Way way way down. Do I need 27 AAA batteries? Enough tools to overhaul an engine? I'll bet most folks can depart half a ton lighter and never miss it. And compared to gasoline prices 15 cents a gallon higher the comparison is a laugh.
