Taking Fiver up Hwy 1 to Big Sur from Southern California

All depends on your experience and comfort level. Hwy. 46 from Paso Robles to Hwy 1 is a good wide two lane. A couple pretty steep pulls. Large pullout on the south side that offers a great view to Point Buchon if the fog doesn't come in. Starting in early October the weather tends to be mild with little or no fog. Weather report for the area is calling for daytime highs in the 80's in the San Luis Obispo County area.

Enjoy the trip. The road isn't that bad.
