You can now get Telcel sim cards on line via amazon. You do need to have an unlocked cell. You can renew the plan at Telcel stores in mexico. This one comes with 5 gig of data an dis good for 33 days....

The new internet en la casa is great. For 399 pesos a month you get high speed data. 150 GB per month. I think the speed is 10 mbps. After the 150 it drops to a speed of 2 mb. One needs a residente temporal for this. It is a 2 year contract. Telmex and telcel have lots of new competition. No need for cables it is all wireless. My wife went to the Indian Village yesterday. Punta Chueca. Seri Indians. Even they have smart phones and use the internet! Mexicans carry smart phones that are the size of a Tablet!
