Tell me about the 101 along the coast of Oregon
Starting to plan a month long trip in September to the west coast. Tell me how the drive is from Astoria down the coast. Will be driving a 42' Winnebago and Jeep toad.

US 101 in most parts is a good two lane highway with numerous pull offs. The scenic routes off US 101 can handle your rig with out any problems. These include Haystack rock area and Pacific Beach.
Go to Fort Clapsop where Lewis and Clark wintered over.
Fort Stevens State park where it was shelled during WW II.
Boiler Bay SP
Go to Newport water front using toad, Do Not take rig!
Aquarium on south side of Newport Bay. Good place to state is South Beach SP.
In Depoe Bay there is spouting Horns that put on disply during Rough sea
Careful going through some of the towns. They could be four lane so stay in left lanes to avoid parked vehicles.
